Why Trump’s Attack on Portland is Failing

Before you defend him, there were no riots, just peaceful protesting which is a 1st Amendment right.

My dad was a staunch republican and money was his God. He would have loved Trump!

When I was 18, my husband and I wanted to buy our own property and build a house. We lived in Arizona where land with water was scarce so we decided to move to Oregon where water is everywhere.

“Oregon is filled with WARS; you’ll fit right in,” claimed my father before we headed north.

“What’s a WAR?”

“Wild Ass Radical!”

That was over 45 years ago, and I love my chosen state with a passion. I’m also proud to be a radical thinker which means using the facts available to me rather than what others would like me to think. It means asking questions instead of just accepting information at face value.

The word radical comes from the Latin word radix meaning root. So us radical folks go beneath the surface to the root.

I’ve always thought Oregon was the safest place to live. Our state is mostly rural and filled with lakes, rivers, and wildlife. The weather is mild and if needed, I could live off the land. We are a peace-loving state and I still know people who live in communes here carrying on the tradition of peace and…
