Right now, we need strong immune systems! Many people are feeling anxiety, stress and even panic attacks because of Covid-19, the new coronavirus that has impacted the world.

The virus is contagious, but fear is even more contagious. Because stress and anxiety can lower the immune system it’s more important than ever to have some coping mechanisms.

Here are some tips for lowering anxiety and hopefully raising immunity.

1. Remind yourself that 98% or more who get Covid-19 do recover.

Whenever you get sucked into the fear of catching the virus, remember that it’s just an illness, not a death sentence. Yes, some people die, but the majority of the deaths are in the elderly and health-compromised population. Most of us are not in that category.

Take all the precautions you can and if you do, you are reducing and perhaps eliminating the risk of exposure.

2. Focus on what you can control, not on what you can’t control.

Beyond the worry about catching the virus, you might be out of work and stressed about income. Your kids can’t go to school. Each day it seems like a new reality as we moved from small gatherings to staying at home in isolation.
